Cookie Policy

This policy describes cookies and browser storage in the current website configuration. Cookies are small records stored by a browser. Session storage is a separate browser mechanism normally scoped to a tab. Some functions need this storage to keep a cart or recognise a login; the product catalogue does not require an advertising profile.

Scope of these website terms

These website terms apply to online sample orders submitted through this website, for both Housing Kits and Full Sets. Bulk and production transactions are governed by a separate written contract signed by both parties; that contract takes precedence over these website terms. This Cookie Policy also applies to storage used while browsing or making enquiries, whether or not an order is placed.

Ordinary browsing

The current site does not enable an advertising, marketing analytics or order-source attribution programme. WooCommerce order attribution is disabled. The attribution cookies whose names begin with sbjs_ are therefore not part of the current configuration. If an older browser session already contains those cookies, they may remain until their own expiry or until you clear the site’s stored data.

The WordPress emoji-support check can create a session-storage entry named wpEmojiSettingsSupports. It records browser display capability, rather than a contact detail or an order. Two optional convenience features use the browser’s local storage: an enquiry list (kf_enquiry_list) that remembers product models you add from product pages so they can pre-fill the enquiry form, and a recently viewed list (kf_recently_viewed) that remembers up to eight product pages you opened. Both entries stay in your own browser, contain product model names and page addresses only, are never sent to the server, and can be cleared with the page controls or your browser settings.

Cart and checkout cookies

The following first-party WooCommerce cookies were observed when preparing a sample cart and opening checkout. The inventory stopped before placing an order.

woocommerce_items_in_cart

This session cookie indicates that the cart contains items so that the interface can show the appropriate cart state. It has no fixed calendar expiry in the observed browser. Session restoration settings can affect when a browser removes session cookies.

woocommerce_cart_hash

This session cookie helps the site recognise changes to the cart. Clearing it can affect the displayed cart state and may require the cart to be refreshed.

wp_woocommerce_session_{hash}

The suffix varies by site. This cookie identifies the customer’s server-side WooCommerce session so that the cart can be associated with the same browser. The observed expiry was approximately 48 hours after the session was established. It is not the complete order record, and removing it does not delete an order held on the server.

Login and restricted access

Opening the WordPress login page sets wordpress_test_cookie to check whether the browser accepts cookies. It was observed as a session cookie. An authenticated WordPress administration session also uses login cookies; that restricted workflow is separate from ordinary catalogue browsing and was not created as part of this inventory.

The private staging site additionally uses browser HTTP authentication. That access protection is not an advertising cookie and is not a customer account. It remains in place while these policies are awaiting approval.

PayPal and external links

The site is configured to load the PayPal payment interface on an order-payment page. PayPal may use its own cookies and processing when that interface is used. The inventory identified the PayPal SDK request but blocked requests outside this staging server; it therefore did not establish PayPal cookie names, purposes or expiry periods. We do not present unverified third-party cookie details as a completed audit.

The WhatsApp Business contact is a link that opens a new window. No WhatsApp widget is embedded in the page. Following the link takes you to a separate service, whose own privacy and storage rules apply. Ordinary page viewing does not itself open that contact service.

No marketing-cookie consent is requested on the basis of a provider that is not installed. If the site later introduces non-essential tracking or changes its payment integration, the inventory, notice and any required consent controls must be reviewed before that change is enabled.

Managing storage and related information

Your browser settings let you inspect, block or clear cookies and site storage. Blocking functional storage can prevent a cart, checkout or login from working as expected. Clearing browser storage does not erase enquiry, transaction or service-log records held on the server.
